ダイポール・アンテナとダブレット・アンテナ （図を追加）

　イギリスのアマチュア無線家の集まり、イギリス無線協会（Radio Society of Great Britain、RSGB）から出ている Successful Wire Antennas を見ていたら、ダイポール・アンテナとダブレット・アンテナを明確に区別していました。章まで分けています。
で、
ダイポール・アンテナの説明です。
3 Dipoles

As the name suggests, it contains two legs or 'poles'. The most common form is the half-wave dipole, which (not surprisingly) is an electrical half-wavelength long.

A dipole does not have to be a half-wavelength long. A three half-wavelength version can be seen in Fig 3.2.

つまり、1/2λ の奇数倍の長さのエレメントを使い、アンテナ・エレメントだけで同調しているものをダイポールとしています。

次に、ダブレット
4 Doublets
One class of antenna that is not as widely used as it might be is that of tuned feeder antennas. Using an open-wire tuned feedline as part of the overall antenna system enables multi-band operation to be achieved, although such an antenna - often called a doublet - does require the use of an ATU to ensure that there is a good match to the transceiver.

Tuned feelines operate on the principle that they are really a part of the antenna and have 'standing waves' along their lengths.

よって、ダブレットとはオープン・ワイヤーのフィードラインを使って、アンテナ・エレメントだけでなくフィードラインもアンテナの一部として使い、フィードラインには定在波が載るような使い方のアンテナです。エレメントの長さは1/2λに囚われません。
典型例が G5RV です。なお、doublets の意味を調べると対の片方とあります。


今年はダブレットを上げたいと思っています。
